How to See Clearer with Visian ICL
Wouldn’t it be nice to start the new year off on the right foot and finally be able to have perfect vision? Wouldn’t it be even nicer to be able to see the person you are going to kiss before the ball drops at midnight? We hear you and, we’ve got you covered. Here at Papale Eye Center, we offer patients a variety of different vision restorative solutions to help you see more clearly including the Visian ICL. Let’s take a closer look at this procedure.
What Is the Visian ICL?
You have a high definition TV and the only type of movie that you choose to see in theaters, obviously, also has to be in high def. But, when it comes to your vision, did you know that you can also see in high definition?
Similar to an intraocular lens, the Visian ICL is a lens that will be surgically implanted into your eyes. However, because it’s made from Collamer, the Visian ICL gives patients the ability to see more clearly.
Typically, patients who get eye surgery, get an improved vision or 20/20 vision. However, their vision isn’t necessarily sharper. With the Visian ICL lens, patients get to see clearer, sharper, and more vividly.
How Is It Performed?
About a week or two before we implant the Visian ICL, we will have you come into our Papale Eye Center office. During this initial appointment, we will make tiny incisions on your eyes where the implant will ultimately be placed. After the one to the two-week time frame, we will then go in and surgically implant the Visian ICL. Depending on the patient, recovery from this procedure may be as quick as a day.
