If heading somewhere extra warm and tropical is on your to-do list for spring break, then you probably have a packing list of swimsuits and coverups already planned out. Before you start packing every suit that you own, don’t forget to take care of your eyes. From a big hat to sunglasses, let’s take a closer look at three things to pack with you to make sure your eyes stay protected.
Sunglasses are the number one thing you should invest in before you go to the beach or spend a lot of time outside. Even though you will want to make sure you look good in your new shades, make sure that you choose a pair that has both UVA and UVB protection in them as well; that way, you ensure that your eyes are really protected from any potential sun damage.
A Big Hat
A big hat won’t just make you look chic and glamorous by the pool, but it still also help to shield your eyes from extra sun as well. Even though your sunglasses will do all of the brunt work, a big hat will protect the other angles of your eyes that are exposed to the sun. Additionally, a big hat will give your skin the extra protection that you need to avoid getting a sunburn.
Our motto? When you don’t have to be out in the sun and expose your eyes to sun damage, don’t. If you are hanging out by the pool or at the beach with family on vacation, try sitting under a breach umbrella to shield yourself and give your eyes a little rest from all of the glare.
It doesn’t have to be hard to protect your eyes from sun damage. If you want to learn more tips and tricks, contact our Papale Eye Center office today and give us a call at our Springfield office and call us at(413) 782-0030.
